Travel Long-Term Care Nurse (RN) | Honokaa, Hawaii

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Rehab RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with experience in rehabilitation and long-term care will provide essential nursing care at a skilled nursing facility located within a hospital setting in Honokaa, Hawaii. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to apply comprehensive clinical skills in a rewarding environment dedicated to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

Perform patient assessments and administer treatments in accordance with care plans Administer medications safely and accurately Communicate critical information promptly to physicians and nurse practitioners Manage patient admissions and discharges with attention to detail Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) Provide specialized care including gastrostomy tube management, urinary catheter care, nebulizer treatments, wound vac maintenance, and CPAP support Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality care delivery Adapt to varied shift schedules including days (7:30 AM-3:30 PM), evenings (3:00 PM-11:30 PM), and nights (11:00 PM-7:30 AM), with weekend, holiday, and potential overtime coverage as needed

Qualifications:

Current and active Registered Nurse license with rehabilitation and long-term care experience required Must possess or obtain a Hawaii state nursing license prior to assignment start Ability to arrive on the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Effective communication and teamwork abilities
