Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful opportunity working directly with a Pre-K student as a part-time school nurse. This rewarding, onsite role is located near Arlington Heights, IL, and offers the chance to positively impact a young learner's daily experience and well-being. As part of a supportive educational environment, you'll play a pivotal role by providing expert healthcare and compassionate support tailored to the unique needs of one student.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active Illinois RN, LPN, or LVN license required Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly preferred Skilled in 1:1 care, especially with younger children Familiarity with IEPs, healthcare plans, and emergency protocols Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff Ability to perform health assessments, administer medications, and manage medical devices as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized nursing care to a Pre-K student throughout the school day Monitor, document, and communicate the student's health status and progress Respond promptly to medical needs or emergencies, ensuring safety at all times Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and family members to support educational participation Maintain accurate health records and adhere to school policies and state regulations
