Role Overview This position involves providing direct patient care on an orthopedics unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards. The nurse will promote patient-centered care, educate patients and families on managing injuries or illnesses, and participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors. Participate in activities that ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement. Provide education on post-treatment care, medication administration, and illness management. Qualifications & Skills Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree in Nursing; a Bachelor's degree is preferred with at least 2 years of experience. Current RN licensure required. Experience in orthopedics and/or medical-surgical units is preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work safely and maintain alertness in a healthcare environment.
