Harrisburg, IL Eldorado, IL Carrier Mills, IL Benton, IL Du Quion, IL Responsibilities Serve as the primary clinical resource for SNF staff, providing guidance on patient care protocols, medical documentation, and regulatory compliance. Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes. Review and ensure accuracy of medical records, electronic health records (EHR), and long-term care documentation in accordance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations. Support management in training staff on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and the use of EMR/EHR systems to promote efficient clinical workflows. Conduct data analysis related to clinical performance metrics, infection control, and regulatory audits to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with hospital teams during transitions of care to ensure continuity and compliance with acute care standards. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of long-term care regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and healthcare best practices to ensure facility adherence. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for report writing, data analysis, and communication purposes. Strong management skills with experience supervising clinical staff and providing administrative oversight within healthcare settings. Extensive patient care experience in long-term care facilities or hospital environments, including acute care settings. In-depth knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical records management. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management and documentation accuracy. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information. Ability to interpret and apply state healthcare regulations and long-term care facility standards effectively. Demonstrated leadership in nursing or healthcare management roles with a focus on quality improvement initiatives. Excellent communication skills for training staff, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and liaising with external agencies. Data analysis skills to evaluate clinical performance metrics and support regulatory compliance efforts.
