BrightStar Care in Orland Park is looking to hire a Registered Nurse (RN) for home health case in Orland Park, IL. Care is for a 22-year-old male quadriplegic. Patient uses Bipap at night. Does not have a trach. Shifts available are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9:30pm-5:30am. You do not need to take all the shifts in order to move forward. Part-time and PRN scheduling is ok. Requirements Pediatric or adult g-tube, trach and vent experience is a plus. Unencumbered license as an RN in the state of Illinois Certified CPR IL Mandated Reporter TB skin test, chest x-ray, annual physical Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric or adult patients during shifts, ensuring their comfort and safety. Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Tube Feeding, Trach Suctioning and Vent Monitoring, as needed. (case by case scenario) Maintain accurate patient records (Notes and charting) Respond promptly to emergencies, utilizing basic life support skills and airway management techniques.
