This contract opportunity focuses on providing essential healthcare to students in grades K-8, serving an average caseload of 35 students. Youll play a pivotal part in addressing everyday student health needs, as well as managing diabetes and asthma care. Experience working in educational settings, especially with IEPs and 504 plans, is highly valued. Responsibilities include delivering daily health services to both in-person and distance-learning students with documented needs. You will be responsible for administering care, addressing common health concerns, and ensuring compliance with designated minutes for students with IEPs or 504s. The current student population does not present severe or profound health requirements, allowing you to focus on reliable and consistent care.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license and Medical Certification Bachelors degree in nursing or related field Strong preference for prior school nursing experience and work with IEP/504 plans Experience providing diabetes and asthma care in pediatric or school environments Legal Nurse expertise considered an asset Excellent communication and documentation skills Proven ability to work independently and handle diverse student healthcare needs Day-to-day duties: Administering routine student care and medication Managing chronic conditions such as diabetes and asthma Serving IEP and 504-related health minutes Maintaining student health records in compliance with regulations Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff Responding promptly to minor injuries and daily health concerns Supporting both in-person and remote learners as needed This is a rewarding chance to make a meaningful impact on a school community.
