Key Qualifications and Requirements:
Active and unencumbered RN license Minimum of 1-2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills specific to cardiac care Proficiency in handling advanced cardiac devices, medication drips, and patient monitoring systems Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families Flexibility and adaptability in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiovascular patients Accurately assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans Operate and monitor sophisticated cardiac equipment and administer complex therapies Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes Document all patient care activities accurately in compliance with facility protocols and regulatory standards Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions Enjoy working in a dynamic, supportive clinical setting that values expertise and dedication to patient care.
