Acuity Adaptable Unit- IU Health Tipton Hospital Our acuity adaptable unit is a unique care environment that supports medical-surgical, progressive care, and limited critical care patients—all within a single flexible space.
Nursing Skills Gained:
Care for a diverse patient population across multiple acuity levels. Develop strong clinical assessment and prioritization skills. Gain experience in rural health nursing, including resource management and creative problem-solving. Participate in interdisciplinary rounding and care planning.Unit Culture & Successes:
A highly engaged team with strong retention and a supportive work environment. Nurses are ACLS and NIH certified, committed to continuous learning and improvement. Recognized for compassionate care, including multiple Daisy Award recipients. Active Hospital-Based Council involved in community service and quality initiatives. Qualifications Requires 1 year RN experience. Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
