Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care, medical procedures, and healthcare documentation, with a strong commitment to providing compassionate and expert nursing services. The Registered Nurse will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care while adhering to all safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications via injection or IV infusion with precision, ensuring proper aseptic technique and adherence to medication protocols. Perform specialized procedures including suturing, catheterization, tube feeding management, and wound care in accordance with best practices. Monitor patients' physiological status using telemetry and other diagnostic tools; respond promptly to acute pain or emergent conditions in trauma or ICU settings. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the needs of diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation for legal and billing purposes. Participate in discharge planning and case management activities to facilitate smooth transitions of care across settings such as home health or hospice. Maintain proficiency in current clinical practices including infectious disease control, trauma medicine, critical care response procedures, and ICD coding standards for accurate recordkeeping. Experience Proven experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospital medicine, emergency rooms (ER), intensive care units (ICU), neonatal intensive care units (NICU), or outpatient clinics. Demonstrated expertise in handling complex cases involving acute pain management, trauma response at Level I or Level II trauma centers, or post-operative recovery in surgical settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for efficient medical records management. Experience providing specialized nursing services such as dialysis support, ostomy care, mammography assistance, or esthetic laser treatments is advantageous. Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and experience managing cases related to occupational health is preferred. Strong background in geriatrics or long-term care environments including nursing homes or assisted living facilities; experience working with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs is highly valued. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Procedures (NRP), or other relevant specialties enhances candidacy.
