Mercy seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for our fast-paced Emergency Department. In this part-time role, you'll deliver rapid assessments, evidence-based interventions, and compassionate care to diverse, urgent, and critical patients. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, using advanced technology and protocols to stabilize conditions and support patients and families in crisis. Responsibilities Provide direct emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations Triage patients, perform rapid assessments, and initiate evidence-based interventions Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient status, and escalate appropriately Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care Operate and maintain emergency department equipment safely and accurately Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and departmental protocols Support and mentor colleagues while upholding Mercy's mission and values Required Skills Emergency nursing care Patient triage IV insertion and medication administration Cardiac and respiratory monitoring Wound and trauma management Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
