ASAP Job Type:
Travel Contract We are seeking an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a smaller rural healthcare facility. This is a combined ICU/Telemetry unit with lower acuity than a traditional ICU and is more comparable to a PCU/Stepdown environment. The unit provides close monitoring for patients with a variety of diagnoses, including: GI conditions DKA Chest pain CHF Pneumonia Ventilator management is minimal. Depending on patient census, the RN may float to the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit and may occasionally be asked to float to the ER. Requirements 4-5 years of ICU experience preferred ICU/PCU/Stepdown experience BLS certification through
AHA ACLS
certification through AHA Active Louisiana RN license or multistate/compact license BLS, ACLS, and required license must be on file at time of submission Must be comfortable floating to Medical-Surgical/Telemetry and occasionally the ER Must understand and be comfortable with the lower-acuity ICU/PCU environment Unit Details Combined ICU/Telemetry unit PCU/Stepdown-style acuity 24/7 monitoring Low acuity compared with a traditional ICU Minimal ventilator management May float to Tele/MS when ICU census is low Occasional ER floating may be required Important Travel Information This is a rural assignment, and housing availability in Bastrop, LA is limited. Travelers are encouraged to research housing options before accepting the assignment . Housing may also be available in the Monroe/West Monroe area.
