Job Description

LifeBridge Health seeks a Nursing Professional Development specialist for our Emergency Department. This role designs, delivers, and evaluates education programs that elevate ED nursing practice, patient safety, and quality outcomes. Responsibilities include needs assessments, orientation, competencies, and simulation-based training, while collaborating closely with ED leadership. You will mentor nurses, support certification and career growth, and champion evidence-based practice in a culture that values collaboration, innovation, and community-focused care. Responsibilities Assess emergency department staff learning needs and competency gaps Design, implement, and evaluate ED nursing education and training programs Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new ED nurses and staff Lead clinical simulations, skills labs, and in service education Collaborate with ED leadership to support quality, safety, and best practices Track compliance with required competencies and regulatory education Use data to improve program effectiveness and patient outcomes Support career development, certifications, and continuing education for ED nurses Serve as an educational resource and mentor to ED clinical teams Participate in organizational initiatives to improve patient care and workflows Required Skills Emergency department nursing practice Clinical education and training Curriculum and program development Adult learning principles Simulation-based education Regulatory and competency compliance Data-driven program evaluation Nursing mentorship and coaching Interdisciplinary collaboration Quality and patient safety initiatives
