Job Description

LifeBridge Health seeks a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our OR team in a PRN capacity. The RN will provide perioperative care, including pre-op assessment, intraoperative circulating/scrub responsibilities, and post-anesthesia recovery support. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, medication administration, sterile technique, documentation, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff. The nurse will follow evidence-based practices, support process improvements, mentor team members, and uphold LifeBridge Health's culture of innovation, community engagement, and continuous improvement in patient safety and outcomes. Responsibilities Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients (pre-op, intra-op, post-op). Circulate and scrub for a variety of surgical procedures following sterile technique. Perform patient assessments, develop and implement nursing care plans. Administer medications and monitor patient responses during procedures. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary OR team members. Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and patient records. Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety protocols. Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and post-op care. Support quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives in the OR. Precept and mentor new staff as needed and participate in ongoing professional development.
