Responsibilities Coordinate and complete the resident assessment process (MDS/RAI) in accordance with federal and state regulations. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all MDS assessments and supporting documentation. Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, and other applicable payer requirements. Work with interdisciplinary team members to develop and maintain comprehensive resident care plans. Perform concurrent reviews and communicate with insurance providers and other stakeholders to obtain and maintain skilled care authorization. Monitor Quality Measures (QM) and Quality Indicators (QI), identify trends, and assist with performance improvement initiatives. Maintain and update policies and procedures related to the MDS and RAI process. Participate in state surveys and regulatory inspections, providing documentation and support as needed. Stay current on regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance with MDS guidelines and best practices. Qualifications Current RN or LPN license in the State of Maryland. RNAC or LPNAC certification preferred, or relevant MDS experience. Strong knowledge of the MDS 3.0 process, RAI Manual, Medicare, Medicaid, and OBRA regulations (preferred) Excellent organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills. Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting (preferred).
