About Us:
Peninsula Nephrology Associates has been serving our community for 50 years. We currently have three Physicians and two Nurse Practitioners and are recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy and ever growing practice. Our work environment is collaborative with the opportunity for growth in a supportive learning environment. Our advanced practitioners are vital to providing quality care to our patients in all settings including our chronic dialysis units, outpatient clinic and local hospitals. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is motivated to learn and help us provide the best in Nephrology care in Salisbury and the surrounding areas. Nephrology experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
The NP/PA will round and provide nephrology care to ESRD patients on hemodialysis in the local dialysis units. Outpatient clinic responsibilities include, but are not limited to, follow up of patients with chronic kidney disease stages 1-5, dialysis modality education and preparation, management of anemia and other CKD complications, reviewing laboratory and other diagnostic test results, handling prescription refills and managing patients through our remote patient monitoring program. In the inpatient setting, the NP/PA will assist the physician with rounding as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Valid Maryland License Eligible to apply for staff privileges at area hospitals and dialysis units BLS certified
