Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. This vital role involves providing comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with urgent and critical health conditions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in emergency medicine, critical care, and trauma response, demonstrating proficiency in advanced nursing procedures, medical documentation, and patient assessment. You will play a crucial role in delivering prompt, compassionate, and effective care within a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring adherence to healthcare standards and regulations.

$3035/wk. for 48hours. Duties Perform thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Manage airway patency using ventilators and perform advanced airway management procedures when necessary. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory tests, radiology procedures (e.g., CT scans), and specimen collection/processing. Provide acute pain management and assist with trauma medicine interventions, including suturing, catheterization, and wound care. Respond rapidly to emergency situations by implementing critical care response procedures like cardiac resuscitation, trauma stabilization, and neonatal resuscitation. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians specializing in cardiology, ophthalmology, infectious disease care, behavioral health, geriatrics, pediatrics, and hospice & palliative medicine. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while ensuring proper ICD-10 coding for billing purposes. Support infection control practices through sterile processing and aseptic techniques during invasive procedures. Qualifications Valid RN license with current registration in the state of practice. Minimum of three years of ER experience within a Level I or Level II trauma center setting. Demonstrated expertise in emergency medicine procedures such as IV insertion, tube feeding management, trauma assessment, and acute pain management. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic or Cerner; experience with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10). Critical care experience in ICU or PICU environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology related to emergency nursing practices. Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities. Excellent communication skills coupled with the ability to remain calm under pressure during high-stakes situations. Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterile processing techniques. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
