Employee Referral Program Experience Pay Given Shift Differential Job Summary Provides nursing care to patients in the specialty clinic setting by performing the following duties: Provides direct patient care under the guidance of a Physician or Advance Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension. Teaches patients and families self-care Administers prescribed medications, IV therapy and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Performs Assessments. Prepares equipment and aids provider during procedures. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patient. Observes patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor and provider of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents. Identifies patients at risk for pressure injury development, implements preventive care per established protocols and monitors response within scope of licensure/certification. Evaluates protocols /guidelines for prevention and treatment and recommends revisions when warranted. Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient. Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol. Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients.
