Job Description

Summary:
Part time s (LPN OR RN, pay range accordingly, 2nd shift) Tuesday, Thursday, and every other weekend 2pm - 10pm. Valley View Recovery Center, a client-centered, holistic MI/CD facility, is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our 53-bed, high-intensity, residential substance abuse treatment program for adult men. Our nursing staff are active members of an integrated treatment team across all programs and services within the organization. They collaborate with clients to understand their goals and needs in order to tailor individualized plans that are preventative and restorative in nature. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): Facilitate medication administration Actively engaging with clients, developing positive relationships that support the client in meeting their goals Initiate the plan of care and necessary revisions. Facilitating preventative and restorative health and well-being education to clients Be available on-call, weekends, and holidays, as assigned. This is a shared duty (rotating schedule) with the other nursing staff. ( mostly via phone ) Medication management, administration, and reviewing medication log regularly. Tracking all medications that are administered, keeping accurate records of dosage times and amounts in the MAR. Documenting observable behaviors and symptoms and take daily vitals Address negative behaviors with a positive attitude Conduct ongoing evaluation of client needs to make appropriate community and in-house referrals Complete documentation as appropriate regarding authorizations, client needs, family needs and agency requests. Document all contacts, incidents, and progress while client is in program. Participate in clinical staffing meetings as part of the nursing team as requested. Work collaboratively with all other organizational services and team members Maintain ongoing, current, and required training for best practice service delivery
Requirements:
