Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations, utilizing your strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy. Administer medications, injections, IV insertions, and other treatments following established protocols and ensuring patient safety. Respond swiftly to medical emergencies by providing first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures aligned with hospital or clinic policies. Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems while complying with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans for patients across inpatient, outpatient, post-acute, and sub-acute care settings. Communicate clearly with patients and their families to explain procedures, answer questions, and provide education on health management and medication use. Ensure compliance with all nursing policies, state nursing practice acts, and health regulations while maintaining high standards of infection control and safety. Skills Proven experience in Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine environments with a strong background in acute care scenarios. Extensive knowledge of hospital medicine practices including medical-surgical nursing, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Geriatrics, and emergency room procedures. Skilled in using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) management for accurate documentation. Proficiency in IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS), including CPR and AED operation. Familiarity with health regulations compliance such as HIPAA and nursing policy adherence across diverse clinical settings like clinics or school health programs. Ability to perform patient assessments involving vital signs monitoring, physiology understanding, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology proficiency. Strong communication skills for parent interaction in pediatric or school clinic environments as well as effective clinical interprofessional collaboration.
