Highlands-Cashiers Hospital seeks an Acute Care Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care on our inpatient units. In this critical access, rural mountain hospital, you will provide comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team, and support patients and families through acute and post-acute needs. RNs will practice evidence-based care, ensure accurate documentation, maintain patient safety, and respond to emergencies. Responsibilities Provide direct acute care nursing to adult and geriatric inpatients, including assessments, care planning, and evaluation. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately following hospital protocols. Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and promptly escalate changes in condition to providers. Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, case management, and ancillary staff for safe, timely discharges. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, and post-discharge care plans. Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical record documentation per regulatory and hospital standards. Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and fall prevention protocols at all times.
