A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

Carolina Urology Partners, PLLC is a large, comprehensive urology group in the Carolinas. We have 20 physicians, more than 150 employees, and 10 urology clinics in convenient locations throughout the Carolinas. We are currently seeking a Phone Triage Nurse/CMA for our office in Mooresville, NC . This position will be responsible for assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under Physician direction.

•Pay rate is negotiable based on experience

Job Responsibilities:

Manage high volume of patient calls on nurse triage line regarding medications, surgery complications, lab results and other urologic issues Work closely with providers to communicate appropriate response to patient needs Schedule and re-schedule appointments Call in prescriptions Keep detailed records of activity in patient's EMR Handle nurse visits to obtain vitals, labs and give injections or treatments as necessary Acts as backup to Front Office staff when necessary

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant / CMA is required Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, staff members and Physicians 3-5 years clinical experience preferred Excellent customer service and communication skills
