Job Description

As a traveling RN in Med Surg/Tele, you'll broaden your horizons through hands-on work in a dynamic medical-surgical environment, learning new protocols while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Schedule:
Day or night shifts: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am Every other weekend rotation No on-call requirement Holiday coverage (75% worked) Up to 6 days of approved time off, excluding holidays
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required At least 18 months recent Med Surg/Tele experience Proficiency with Epic EMR and Omnicell medication dispensing Solid skills in stroke care/NIH assessments, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tube and drain management, PIV starts, trach care, NGT and tube placements, and blood product administration Flexible mindset to float to other facilities within the regional network, as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, evidence-based care to adult Med Surg/Tele patients (common diagnoses: stroke, COPD, chest pain, GI bleed) Perform duties including PCAs, IVs, medication management, and direct patient assessments Collaborate with CNAs, monitor techs, and other support staff Maintain accurate records using Epic Adapt quickly to changing patient ratios and work through surge periods as needed
