Category Nursing - RN - Endoscopy Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by specializing in Endoscopy/GI Lab care at a respected acute care facility recognized for excellence in patient outcomes and a supportive team environment. This contract opportunity involves working alongside highly skilled healthcare professionals in a state-of-the-art setting, delivering vital care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
Schedule:
Variable shifts Four weeknight call shifts and three weekend call shifts required within a six-week schedule
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Prior experience in Endoscopy and/or GI Lab settings is essential Strong background in acute care or hospital-based nursing environments Clinical proficiency in sedation administration, monitoring, and emergency response Excellent communication and teamwork skills BLS and ACLS certifications required
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions, responding quickly to any changes Collaborate closely with physicians, technicians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, post-care instructions, and follow-up care Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and hospital policies Participate in on-call rotations as outlined in the schedule, delivering prompt and compassionate care during urgent situations
