Category Nursing - RN - Endoscopy Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in an award-winning hospital setting, providing essential care and expertise within a dynamic Endoscopy/GI Lab environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to contribute within an acute care hospital recognized regionally and nationally for excellence in patient care and innovation.
Schedule/Hours:
Variable shifts 4 weeknight calls and 3 weekend calls in a 6-week period
Qualifications & Experience:
Active, unrestricted RN license Minimum of one year of recent Endoscopy/GI Lab nursing experience Previous hospital or acute care experience strongly preferred BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid) Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Proficient in assisting with endoscopic procedures Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Essential Responsibilities:
Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedural nursing care to endoscopy patients Monitor patient status and vital signs during all phases of procedures Administer medications and IV sedation as directed Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention protocols and hospital policies Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and home care Participate in on-call schedule as required Accurately document all patient interactions and care provided
