This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and shape educational programs in the Emergency Department during a period of growth and transformation. The role involves collaboration with nursing leadership to enhance clinical practice, improve patient outcomes, and ensure regulatory compliance. Reports to Director of Education Supports orientation, onboarding, competency validation, continuing education, leadership development, and quality initiatives Serves as educator, consultant, facilitator, researcher, leader, and change agent within the organization Partners with nursing leadership to improve clinical practice, patient outcomes, staff engagement, and regulatory compliance Will oversee educational needs across all shifts, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight coverage as needed Requirements Active RN license in New Jersey (or compact license) BSN required MSN strongly preferred APRN, CNL, Clinical Nurse Specialist, or specialty certification preferred Specialty certification in nursing administration or clinical specialty preferred; required within 2 years of hire if not already obtained BLS, ACLS, and PALS required Trainer certification preferred/required based on department needs Minimum 3 years of nursing, clinical educator, or nursing instructor experience Master's degree may substitute for 2 years of required experience Emergency Department experience strongly preferred Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Strong presentation, communication, mentoring, and curriculum development skills Experience with competency assessments, orientation programs, performance improvement initiatives, regulatory readiness, and evidence-based practice Key Responsibilities Lead orientation and onboarding programs for new nursing staff Develop and maintain department competency and education programs Coordinate continuing education, certifications, leadership development, and regulatory training Design and deliver evidence-based clinical education initiatives Partner with nursing leadership on quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Support accreditation, TJC, DOH, OSHA, and regulatory compliance activities Analyze educational and clinical performance data to identify gaps and opportunities Develop policies, procedures, protocols, and best-practice standards Mentor bedside nurses and emerging nurse leaders Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and professional development Lead educational projects, committees, and change management initiatives Benefits of the
