Job Description
Advanced Nurse Provider - Occupational Health Paterson, NJ, United States Job Description The Advanced Practice Provider of Occupational Health is responsible for performing pre-employment physical examinations for St. Joseph's employees, client employers, work related injuries, Fitness for Duty assessments and works in direct collaboration with the Occupational Health and Wellness Medical Director. This role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while promoting a safe and healthy work environment for all hospital employees and client employers. The Advanced Practice Provider provides clinical care and evaluation for patient populations for Occupational Health and Wellness and provides leadership for work with interdisciplinary internal business partners and clients. Responsible for enacting standards of practice and standards of professional performance, consistently demonstrates the core competencies of Advanced Practice Nursing as well as defined specialty competencies. Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No nights, no holidays, no call. The right candidate understands outpatient services and prevention of work-related injury and illness. Can identify acute injury and illness as a cause and effect from work.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Master's degree or higher preferred (MSN, MHA, MPH) or DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice)
Licensure:
Active RN or NP license preferred in the State of New Jersey (or applicable state) Certifications (Preferred): COHN or COHN-S (Certified Occupational Health Nurse) preferred or ability to obtain certification BLS certification
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years Nursing experience or at least 1 year Nurse Practitioner experience 1-3 years in Occupational Health or Employee Health preferred Hospital experience strongly preferred About Us St. Joseph's Health is recognized for the expertise and compassion of its highly skilled and responsive staff.
