Support a young student's well-being as an onsite Registered Nurse in a dynamic school environment. This contract opportunity spans the academic year and calls for a dedicated RN to provide attentive, compassionate care to a 3-year-old child with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy. The student is non-ambulatory, weighs approximately 24 pounds, and is dependent on an NG-tube—not a G-tube—for nutrition. As you accompany the student throughout the school day and on bus transportation, your expertise will be vital in ensuring their comfort and safety.

Key Qualifications:

Current RN license in good standing Pediatric nursing experience (required) Skilled in managing NG-tubes Ability to safely lift and transport a non-ambulatory child Excellent communication and collaboration skills with school staff and families Comfortable providing care on school buses and in classroom settings

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver daily medical care and monitoring for the student during school hours (8am-3pm) Administer NG-tube feedings and related care according to individual health plans Assist with safe lifting, positioning, and transport of the student throughout the day and during bussing Monitor vital signs, respond to emergencies, and maintain accurate health records Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate the student's participation in school activities Communicate with families and healthcare providers as needed to support the student's unique needs This position is for onsite coverage only and offers the chance to make a profound impact on a child and their family throughout the school year.
