• ASC / Pre-Op / PACU Ready to transition from the hospital environment to an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) ?

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a well-established Ambulatory Surgery Center in Queens, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN with hospital, acute care, PACU, Pre-Op, ER, Critical Care, Step-Down, Medical-Surgical, Endoscopy, or ambulatory surgery experience who is interested in transitioning into an ASC environment. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity , with approximately 94% of our employees converting to permanent positions after completing 520 hours . The ideal candidate is a compassionate and dependable RN who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment and is committed to providing safe, efficient, high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Admit and prepare patients for surgical procedures Complete pre-operative assessments and provide pre-procedure instructions Provide nursing coverage in Pre-Op and PACU Monitor patients throughout the recovery process Assess patient readiness for discharge and provide discharge instructions Assist physicians and clinical staff during procedures as needed Monitor patient and staff flow throughout the surgery center Ensure established policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed Maintain emergency carts and ensure appropriate emergency supplies are available Assist with medication ordering, inventory, and medication management Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation Participate in Quality Management and performance improvement initiatives Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure continuity of care Qualifications Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

• required Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience in a hospital, Ambulatory Surgery Center, or acute care setting BLS certification
• required ACLS certification
• required Experience in one or more of the following areas strongly preferred: Pre-Op / Pre-Admission Testing PACU / Recovery Room Ambulatory Surgery / ASC Endoscopy Emergency Room / ER / ED Critical Care / ICU Step-Down Medical-Surgical Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented approach to patient care Knowledge of Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards is a plus
