1 Description American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift position requiring NY licensure in hand and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience. Details Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00 ICU setting including Medical ICU, Surgical ICU, and Burn unit care Patient ratio of 1:2-3 Every other weekend required Floating required Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active NY RN license required in hand Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required Prior travel nursing experience required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Charge nurse experience highly preferred Community hospital experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care Experienced in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and neuromuscular blockade Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG acquisition Experienced with IV insulin protocols and infection prevention/isolation precautions Additional Information Provide critical care to medical, surgical, and burn ICU patients including thermoregulation management Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered for travel pay First-time travelers may be considered Candidates with more than 10 days of requested RTO will not be considered Previous employees must have a 6-month system-wide separation before returning Pre-start training modules required, varying by specialty
