Two positions are available:

one for a Registered Nurse (RN) and one for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). In this assignment, you'll serve as a floating nurse across various elementary schools, providing exceptional care, promoting health and wellness, and building strong rapport with students and school personnel alike. One of these float positions will transition to provide 1:1 care for a student with a tracheostomy on maternity leave from December through the end of the school year, offering a unique chance to expand your skill set in a highly supportive environment.

Desired qualifications:

Current RN or LPN/LVN license (New York State) Previous experience in pediatric, school, or community health settings preferred Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills Adaptability and a positive, flexible attitudeideal for a float role CPR certification required; trach care experience beneficial, especially for the 1:1 assignment Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and effectively communicate with families Primary responsibilities: Assess and manage the health needs of students across assigned elementary schools Administer first aid and medications as prescribed Support students with chronic conditions or individualized healthcare plans Maintain accurate documentation and uphold student confidentiality Participate in school health activities, promote a safe learning environment, and liaise with faculty as needed Provide specialized 1:1 care for a trach-dependent student during the maternity leave period Embark on a school-year journey where your nursing expertise transforms student lives.
