This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing inpatient rehabilitation, supporting their recovery and functional independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent assessment skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Key responsibilities include delivering direct patient care, coordinating multidisciplinary treatment plans, and ensuring adherence to healthcare standards. The RN will utilize advanced clinical skills to manage complex cases, including those requiring critical care experience, trauma management, and specialized therapies such as botulinum toxin treatment. This role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication with healthcare teams. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine rehabilitation needs and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, and wound suturing. Monitor vital signs and physiological parameters using EMR/EHR system; EPIC respond promptly to changes in patient condition. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize recovery outcomes. Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, or trauma medicine. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation. Assist with discharge planning by coordinating post-hospital care services and educating patients on their recovery process. Perform specialized procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding management, or sterile dressing changes. Support infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions. Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with NCQA standards and hospital policies. Qualifications Valid Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license; current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Minimum of two years of inpatient nursing experience; experience in acute rehab or long-term care settings highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systemsor Epic; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10). Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, wound suturing, and ventilator management. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring complex rehabilitative therapies. Knowledge of critical care procedures such as ICU experience or trauma center exposure is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and compassion. #
