Job Description

OhioHealth is seeking a dedicated Staff RN for our Emergency Department. In this fast-paced role, you will provide comprehensive, compassionate care to high-acuity patients, performing rapid assessment, triage, and evidence-based interventions. You will collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, utilize advanced monitoring and EMR systems, and respond to critical situations and codes. Responsibilities Provide rapid assessment and triage of emergency patients Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per provider orders and protocols Monitor and interpret vital signs and cardiac/telemetry data Perform IV therapy, wound care, and emergency procedures within RN scope Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMREducate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care Maintain patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance Respond to codes and other emergency situations in the department Precept and mentor new nurses and support ongoing quality improvement Required Skills Emergency nursing Triage assessment IV therapy and phlebotomy Cardiac and telemetry monitoring Medication administration ACLS protocols PALS or ENPC care Trauma and shock management Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Infection control and patient safety
