In this role, you will provide comprehensive bedside care for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions. Responsibilities include thorough assessments, safe medication administration, wound and post-operative care, and continuous monitoring of patient status. You will collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, maintain accurate EHR documentation, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and infection control while contributing to a supportive, learning-focused culture. Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, including assessments, interventions, and evaluations. Administer medications, therapies, and treatments safely and accurately. Monitor vital signs, lab results, and patient responses, escalating changes promptly. Develop, update, and document individualized care plans in the EHR. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge plans. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care. Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention and patient safety protocols. Precept, mentor, and support peers and new staff as needed. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice projects. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues.
