Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Progressive Care Clinical Nurse Coordinator to oversee patient care on a progressive care unit. In this role, you will coordinate clinical workflows, support bedside nurses, and ensure high-quality, evidence-based care for acutely ill adult patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, mentoring staff, supporting onboarding, and promoting a safe, compassionate environment. You will help drive quality initiatives, monitor outcomes, and support policy adherence while modeling HCA's culture of compassion, teamwork, learning, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Coordinate nursing care on the progressive care unit Perform and oversee patient assessments and care planning Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on treatment plans Mentor and support bedside nurses and new staff Promote adherence to clinical policies and quality standards Monitor patient outcomes and support quality improvement initiatives Ensure safe, patient-centered care and service excellence Assist with staffing coordination and workflow optimization Required Skills Progressive care nursing Acute patient assessment Care planning and coordination Telemetry and cardiac monitoring IV therapy and medication administration Clinical leadership and charge nurse skills Interdisciplinary team collaboration Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Quality and patient safety practices Patient and family education
