HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team. In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to patients receiving radiation therapy, including assessments, treatment preparation, and ongoing symptom management. You will educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and home care, while coordinating closely with physicians, therapists, and support staff. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to radiation oncology patients before, during, and after treatments Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor treatment responses and side effects Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with safety and oncology protocols Educate patients and families on treatment plans, side effects, and home care instructions Coordinate care with radiation oncologists, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members Document care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the EHRSupport patient safety and infection control standards in all clinical activities Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow evidence-based practice guidelines Assist with treatment preparation, patient positioning, and follow-up scheduling Engage in ongoing professional development and education within HCA Healthcare's learning culture Required Skills Radiation oncology nursing Chemotherapy and radiation safety knowledge Patient assessment Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation IV insertion and medication administration Symptom and pain management Care planning and coordination Patient and family education Infection control and safety protocols Interdisciplinary team collaboration
