School Registered Nurse (RN) in Lake Stevens, WA

Job Description

Bring your expertise in nursing to the academic setting and make an impact on students of all ages! An enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Nurse is needed for a part-time, contract-based role supporting young people ages 3 to 22 during the 2026-2027 school year. This essential position will run from ASAP through June 11, 2027, and requires flexibility to adapt to varying school schedules, ensuring quality care across a dynamic campus setting.
Role Details:
14 guaranteed hours per week Schedule flexibility required between 6am and 4pm to support various shift needs Serve as a substitute RN for children and young adults throughout the school district
Key Responsibilities:
Provide quality health care and emergency response for students aged 3-22 Support students with chronic illness management, medication administration, and health screenings Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to facilitate accommodations and provide health education Maintain confidential and accurate health records in compliance with district and state standards Respond to health-related concerns and ensure a safe, inclusive environment for all students
Desired Qualifications:
Active RN licensure/certification required Prior experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or diverse educational settings preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt quickly to changes and support multiple age groups Commitment to professionalism and student-focused care Envision yourself making a daily difference as a school nurse.
