OPEN POSITION
Infection Prevention Control Registered Nurse Day-Shift Othello Community Hospital is seeking a dedicated and motivated Day-Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to lead our Infection Prevention Control Program. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN who is passionate about patient safety, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and staff education. The Infection Prevention Control RN is responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing the hospital's Infection Prevention Control Program. This is a working RN position that collaborates with hospital leadership, clinical staff, and community partners to reduce healthcare-associated infections and promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

$43.07 - $101.31/hour
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain the hospital's Infection Prevention and Control Program. Develop, review, and update infection prevention policies and procedures. Conduct infection surveillance, monitoring, and reporting. Lead infection prevention initiatives and quality improvement activities. Provide education and training to hospital staff on infection prevention practices. Serve as the hospital's resource for infection prevention questions and regulatory guidance. Attend internal committee meetings and represent the hospital at external infection prevention meetings as needed. Collaborate with employees, leadership and clinical departments to ensure compliance with applicable infection prevention standards and regulations. Maintain documentation and reports related to infection prevention activities. Analyze infection data and prepare reports Investigate outbreaks Collaborate with employee health and quality departments Participate in accreditation surveys Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Previous experience in infection prevention is preferred but not required. The selected candidate must obtain Certification in Infection Prevention (CIC) within one (1) year of hire.
