Your hours can be flexible between 7:30-4:00PM as well as opportunity to sub at the elementary and/or secondary level. You can indicate the school buildings you would like to sub in and we will add your name to our substitute list. From here, our building secretaries or Human Resources will give you a call when there is a sub opportunity. You will have the option to accept or decline depending on your availability. Please complete the standard WECAN application. After this time, our Human Resources Specialist will contact you. Health/medical expierence required to sub in any one of our school buildings. Staff in our schools will guide you through your daily work schedule and provide support. Qualifications Below are some of the duties: 1) Operates school health room, including maintaining health records, medication forms and an accurate log of services. Uses universal precautions when providing care and disinfecting used area. 2) Administers insulin and other medications. 3) Triages symptoms of illness and/or injury including evaluating, monitoring, and referring physically ill and emotionally at risk students to District Nurse or other appropriate resource. Administers first aid as required. 4) Notifies parents or guardian when a child becomes sick at school and cares for children until parent/guardian arrives. 5)Acts as a liaison between the school and nurse.
