Bilingual Receptionist, Intake Coordinator, Benefits Checker and Scheduler for a Mental Health Outpatient Private Practice. The ideal candidate has the following: Very comfortable working the phones and making outbound calls. A major part of this job is proactively contacting clients every day. This is a daily priority and requires someone who is comfortable picking up the phone and actively pursuing scheduling opportunities throughout the day. Extensive experience performing commercial (PPO/HMO) insurance verifications and interpreting benefits is required. Must be comfortable using Availity and insurance company portals to accurately determine coverage and patient costs, including deductibles, coinsurance and copayments. Proficiency with "insurance math" — accurately determining patient responsibility based on plan benefits. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish. Ability to multi-task, stay focused and complete a variety of tasks each day. A warm, caring and professional demeanor with clients and colleagues — in person, on the phone and through email/text. A fast, curious learner who isn't afraid to ask questions and wants to learn quickly. A naturally friendly and helpful person who enjoys helping both clients and coworkers. Tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new software and systems, particularly EHR platforms and Google apps. Reliable, dependable and punctual. Strong work ethic and ready to work hard as part of a busy team.
Bonus Skills:
Experience with medical records requests and insurance credentialing.
