Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Drug Rehab Admissions Coordinator to join our healthcare team. Duties Manage patient intake and admission processes for drug rehabilitation programs, including verifying insurance coverage and eligibility. Strong knowledge in
KIPU EMR
system. Review and update medical records using EMR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Dentrix. Conduct medical collection procedures and ensure accurate documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical terminology to support billing and care plan documentation. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate patient scheduling, intake assessments, and treatment planning. Maintain organized filing systems for medical records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive health information. Assist with insurance verification processes and ensure proper documentation for Medicare or other insurance providers. Provide exceptional patient service by managing front desk operations, multi-line phone systems, and appointment scheduling with professionalism and courtesy. Support office management tasks such as filing, data entry (including 10 key typing), and maintaining office supplies. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations related to documentation, billing, and patient privacy. Experience Prior experience in drug rehab program administrative support or healthcare office management is preferred. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, insurance verification, and health information management is essential. Experience working in a clinical setting such as a hospital or dental clinic will be advantageous. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) are required. Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are necessary for engaging with patients and healthcare providers.
