You will play a critical role in managing incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing information about our procedures, pre-operative and post-operative care, and additional information about our surgeons and team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally. Ensuring we answered all questions and successfully assisted the caller prior to hanging up. Assist patients with scheduling appointments and provide accurate information about their treatment, appointments and procedures. Handle patient inquiries, concerns, and complaints with empathy and professionalism. Accurately document patient information and all correspondence and maintain confidentiality/HIPAA. Coordinate with medical team members and departments to ensure seamless patient care. Provide information on billing and insurance, and other practice processes as needed. Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus. 1-2 years of customer service and/or phone representative experience required. Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient in using computer systems and software, including electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
