Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, conducting patient monitoring, and reporting any changes or concerns in accordance with care plans and resident's rights. Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal presentation to meet individual dietary needs and preferences. Provide companionship by engaging patients in conversation, recreational activities, and emotional support to promote mental well-being. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and infection control practices aligned with healthcare standards. Assist with transportation needs for appointments or community outings using personal transportation assistance or mobility aids as needed. Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification requirements, and emergency procedures to ensure patient safety at all times. Experience Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly desirable. Demonstrated experience in patient observation, dementia care (including Alzheimer's care), memory care, or hospice care enhances your ability to provide specialized support. Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts is preferred. Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities supports diverse patient needs. Knowledge of resident's rights and HIPAA regulations ensures respectful and confidential care delivery. Strong background in geriatrics or long-term care environments demonstrates your commitment to senior care excellence.
