Patient Accounts Representative - FT Larkin Community Hospital - 3.5 South Miami, FL Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Job Summary The Patient Accounts Representative is responsible for managing patient billing accounts from admission through final resolution. This role ensures accurate billing, timely follow-up with insurance companies and patients, and excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with hospital policies, payer guidelines, and regulatory requirement
Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree or coursework in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in hospital billing, patient accounts, or revenue cycle preferred Experience with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of hospital billing processes and revenue cycle operations Familiarity with insurance guidelines, claim forms, and denial management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple accounts efficiently Proficiency with hospital billing systems and Microsoft Office applications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of HIPPA and EMTALA guidelines Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, if applicable Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods Ability to use a computer, telephone, and standard office equipment Occasional standing or walking as needed
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
