Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Onsite) Position Overview The Registration Specialist facilitates patient flow from point of entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This role is responsible for creating accurate financial and demographic patient records, verifying insurance coverage, scheduling appointments, collecting payments, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. The Registration Specialist serves as an important first point of contact for patients while supporting the daily operations of the clinic. Key Responsibilities Greet and assist patients during check-in and check-out Verify insurance coverage and answer basic insurance-related questions Schedule appointments and coordinate patient visits Obtain and accurately enter demographic and financial information Explain department and hospital policies, charges, and procedures Collect payments and process charges as needed Answer incoming calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately Support patient experience initiatives and clinic workflow Troubleshoot issues and assist other areas of the clinic as needed Training & Growth Comprehensive web-based onboarding program Dedicated mentorship and training for up to 90 days with continued support Opportunity for advancement through the Registration Specialist career ladder Team Environment This is a small, highly collaborative clinic team that works closely together to ensure quality patient care and efficient operations. Preferred Qualifications & Skills Experience in a medical office, registration, patient access, or healthcare setting Medical Assistant experience is highly transferable and preferred Strong understanding of insurance verification processes Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Success Milestones Within 3

Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare, medical office, patient access, registration, or customer service setting preferred. Ability to learn and retain medical coding concepts; ICD-10 and CPT coding experience preferred. Ability to interpret insurance information and eligibility requirements. Knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We are an equal opportunity employer.
