Job Description

USA Sleep Diagnostic Services is seeking an experienced Senior Patient Services Representative to support a fast-paced, high-volume sleep medicine practice. This position serves as a senior member of the patient services team and is responsible for providing exceptional service to patients while managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls. The ideal candidate has strong healthcare customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remain professional, organized, and patient-focused in a demanding call environment. This individual will handle more complex patient concerns, assist with escalations, support less-experienced representatives, and help ensure that patients move efficiently through the sleep testing and follow-up process. Responsibilities Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound patient calls while maintaining excellent customer service. Assist patients with questions regarding sleep consultations, sleep studies, home sleep testing, appointments, insurance authorization status, testing procedures, and follow-up appointments. Schedule and reschedule patient appointments accurately. Explain the home sleep testing process, including shipment, testing, equipment return, and follow-up requirements. Provide patients with clear expectations regarding scheduling and insurance authorization timelines. Assist patients with telemedicine appointment scheduling and basic access questions. Review patient accounts and documentation to determine the appropriate next step before responding to patient inquiries. Document all patient communications accurately and thoroughly in the appropriate system. Route clinical questions to the appropriate clinical staff. Escalate urgent, unusual, or unresolved patient concerns to management or clinical personnel. De-escalate difficult calls and resolve patient complaints professionally. Make outbound calls regarding appointments, incomplete documentation, testing, follow-up needs, and other patient service matters. Coordinate with scheduling, authorization, clinical, billing, and administrative teams to resolve patient issues. Skills Medical Office Experience Proven experience as administrative assistant Fast typing skills; Knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.) Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills Great attention to detail High school degree
