About the
Role:
Iron County Medical Center (ICMC) has an opening for a Full-time, Night Shift ER Registration Clerk.
Related Experience:
Minimum high school graduate or equivalent (GED) Prior outpatient, clinic, ER registration experience preferred. Must demonstrate respect, professionalism, and courtesy at all times Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in team environment Good organizational skills and attention to detail necessary. Ability to key a minimum of 50 wpm without error Previous hospital or medical office experience is desired, EMR training preferred Must be able to multi-task, exercise good judgment, be dependable, and capable of independently carrying out assigned tasks and day-to-day duties efficiently, effectively, and courteously
Responsibilities:
Must acknowledge and continuously demonstrate that the patient always comes first Must maintain positive, respectful, and professional relationships with patients, co-workers, and ancillary department personnel at all times Receiving patients and visitors in a courteous, friendly, empathetic, and efficient manner Keying and processing ER patient intake paperwork Initiating and maintaining patient files and charts Must maintain confidentiality of patient records, discussions, and issues at all times Must be able to effectively explain and courteously collect any co-pays due at time of visit Provide back-up assistance to Med-Surg and ER personnel as need and in areas trained as well as to business office, medical records employees General office duties
