About the
Role:
Iron County Medical Center has a Full-time position opening for an Outpatient Registration Clerk. The candidate who fills this position will report directly to the
Business Office Manager Responsibilities:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Demonstrate professionalism with a pleasant and positive image of ICMC to all incoming patients. Register patients for services as directed by orders they present following protocol established by business office. Efficiently and correctly enter all patient information on the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. Answer and respond to telephone calls in a prompt and pleasant manner. Assist in the monitoring of traffic entering facility to ensure that all patients are directed to appropriate registration window and that visitors and guests obtain appropriate permission to enter other office and/or service areas. Receive and process patient payments when necessary.
Skills and Abilities:
Required Education and Skills :
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience and training in registration and customer service initiatives Licensed Notary preferrable, willingness to obtain after hire if not already licensed. Must be able to read, write legibly, and verbally respond effectively, respectfully, and tactfully Must have a working knowledge of various computer programs as related to a medical office and be willing to train on new programs Effective organization skills and ability to multi-task Good customer and interpersonal communication skills and ability to maintain composure at all times; MUST be a team player and willing to help provide assistance to team-mates with other business office functions. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions Must be physically capable of performing duties and responsibilities of position with or without reasonable accommodation
