Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as Medical Office Receptionist. This dual role is responsible for providing excellent patient service at the front desk, managing check-in and check-out procedures, and ensuring accurate and timely billing processes. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a solid understanding of medical billing practices, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage the check-in and check-out process. Verify patient insurance information and update patient charts accurately. Schedule appointments and accurately manage the provider's calendar. Respond to inquiries in Klara and direct to correct departments. Collect co-payments and other patient payments. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Requirements Previous experience in a medical setting is required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with billing and insurance practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient files and documentation. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
