Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Transports specimens and/or supplies via hospital-owned vehicle between hospital laboratory and outreach clients. Performs registration/order entry functions for specimens received from outreach clients, including Medicare and Medicaid eligibility and insurance verification. Laboratory tests checked against diagnosis codes. Receive, process and prepare specimens for transport to reference laboratory. EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required:
Ability to read and follow written instructions, policies and procedures. On-the-job training in necessary skills will be provided. As an organizational representative must process excellent communication skills and customer service skills. Valid NC Driver's License. High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred:
Above, plus formal coursework in Medical Terminology and advanced computing skills.
