Job Description

New Start Psychological Care is seeking a highly organized, professional, and personable Front Desk / Intake Coordinator to join our growing team. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for clients, families, and visitors, playing a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient office experience. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient mental health setting. Key Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and referral sources by phone, email, and in person Answer incoming calls, respond to emails, and assist with general front desk communication Coordinate new client intake, including scheduling, collecting information, and guiding clients through the onboarding process Schedule appointments and manage calendars for multiple clinicians and staff members Maintain accurate client records while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism at all times Assist with routine administrative duties and office organization Monitor and maintain office supplies, inventory, and general front office needs Help support smooth day-to-day office operations and provide excellent customer service Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred At least 2 years of experience in a customer service, administrative, reception, or intake-related role preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with standard office software and computer systems Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Preferred Qualifications Experience in a medical, behavioral health, or healthcare office setting Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems or other healthcare software Experience supporting office workflows, supervising staff, or assisting with daily operations Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative Position Details Full-time position with potential for internal growth Competitive compensation based on experience Opportunity for advancement into a leadership/office management role If you are a motivated self-starter who enjoys helping people, staying organized, and being an essential part of a collaborative team, we encourage you to apply.
